O Brother, Where Art Thou?

Governor Pappy O'Daniel (Charles Durning) pardons the three fugitives (George Clooney, John Turturro and Tim Blake Nelson) after their antics as the "Soggy Bottom Boys" accidentally trick candidate Homer Stokes (Wayne Duvall) into revealing his role as a leader of the local KKK. Unfortunately, Sheriff Cooley (Daniel von Bargen) hasn't heard about the pardon, and has arranged a hanging party at Ulysses' (Clooney's) shack. Our intrepid heroes are saved when the water backing up from the new dam floods the valley and drowns the posse.
