After the events of Fast Five, Dominic Toretto (Vin Diesel) and his crew (Paul Walker, Jordana Brewster, Tyrese Gibson, Ludacris, Sung Kang, and Gal Gadot) have retired. DSS agent Luke Hobbs (Dwayne Johnson) and his partner Riley (Gina Carano) confront Dom, asking for his assistance in capturing Owen Shaw (Luke Evans), the leader of a wanted heist gang. Hobbs then presents evidence that Dom’s former girlfriend Letty (Michelle Rodriguez, who was thought dead in Fast & Furious) is, in fact, alive and working for Shaw.

Throughout the film, you learn that Letty lost her memory after she survived the crash in Fast & Furious, where Shaw found and recruited her in a hospital. Shaw was working with Arturo Braga (the villain from Fast & Furious). Han wishes to settle down with Gisele and move to Tokyo.

Near the end of the film, Dom and Hobbs successfully capture Shaw and his men. However, Shaw reveals that he sent a henchmen to kidnap Mia (Dom’s sister and Brian’s wife). He threatens to kill her if he isn’t released. Dom lets him go, and Shaw reveals that Hobbs’ partner Riley was working for him the whole time.

In the final chase scene, Dom and his crew catch up to Shaw, who is trying to escape in an airplane. The team rescuses Mia, Gisele sacrifices herself to save Han, while Shaw, his henchmen, and Riley are killed. Dom and his crew are granted full pardons and return to their home to celebrate.

Han finally moves to Tokyo, and the events of Tokyo Drift are shown. It is revealed that the car that crashed and killed Han was no accident; it was driven by Owen Shaw’s brother (Jason Statham). He calls Dom, leaving him a threatening message.
