The movie revolves around three stories that are all linked to a pawn shop.
- Raw Dog (Paul Walker), Vernon (Haas) and Randy (Rankin) all plan to rob their meth dealer using Randy's shotgun. Randy pawns his shot gun to get money for gas to meet with his friends, forgetting they will need it for the robbery. Vernon shows up at their meeting place thinking Randy has robbed him, and hits him with his car. Raw Dog and Vernon leave Randy in a field to die alone, and steal a bow and arrow to rob the drug maker. Randy is visited by the Grim Reaper, who gives him a shotgun to seek vengence against his friends. Randy finds his friends at the drug makers meth lab and he starts shooting and blows everyone up. The shot gun blast ignites gases in the meth lab.
- Richard (Matt Dillion) is on his honeymoon. He discovers that he has been robbed, and needs cash while the bank sorts out his missing atm card charges. He stops in at the same Pawn Shop to exchange his new brides ring for honeymoon cash. He see's a ring in the glass cases and explains to the Pawn Shop owner (Chi Mc Bride) that the ring was custom made for his first wife who mysteriously disappeared from their home 6 years earlier. Richard also explains that the police have assumed that he killed his wife for the past 6 years, so he's desparate to find out what happened to her. He offers the Pawn Shop Owner his new wife's ring if he will give him the name of the man who pawned the ring, the ring itself and the junky car outside. The pawn shop owner agrees. Richard tells his new wife to go home, telling her he already has a wife and he leaves. Richard tracks down the original person who pawned the ring, Johnny Shaw (Elijah Wood), and begins to torture him for information about his wife. After suspending Shaw in the air using fish hooks and busting out his teeth with a hammer, Shaw finally tells Richard that his wife is alive and is in the farm silo behind his house. Richard finds his wife Cyndi (Pell James), in the silo, locked in a dog kennel. She is alive but insists she cannot leave because she is Shaw's favorite, and has finally after 6 years, been given her own cage. Richard realizes there are other women held captive in cages stacked in a pyramid shape in another silo. He sets them free and heads back to the house where you hear Shaw being tortured (maybe killed). Richard returns to the silo to collect Cyndi, but she is so brainwashed she won't leave, so he forces her to go. Once in the car, Richard tells Cyndi she is free and Shaw is dead. She freaks out and uses a knife in the car to stab Richard several times in the chest. They get in a car wreck and both die while the brainwashed zombie-like kidnap victims roam around town naked.
- Ricky (Brendan Fraser) is an Elvis impersonator who is awful at his job. His girlfriend has left him and his only claim to fame is that he was featured on a news reel for the Elvis Tribute show he is to perform at the small towns carnival that night. Seriously depressed at his lack of fame, looks and ability to sing, he meets a local preacher who offers him his hearts desire in return for his soul. He accepts and has a great performance at the carnival. While he is on stage, the naked zombie kidnap victims from story two wander into the carnival and are covered with flags and stand at the front of the stage appearing to be part of his show. In the background, the meth house from story one explodes making it appear as if the stage is highlighted with fireworks. Shaw, somehow now alive, shows up, offers Elvis' girlfriend a place to stay (since he has an opening), collects his zombie kidnap victims to return them to their cages. Ricky is offered a job with the traveling carnival to perform as Elvis in 8 Southeastern states, and he rejoices in his stardom, even if he had to knowingly trade his soul to get it.
