Life(2017)

The alien kills everyone on the space station except Miranda (Rebecca Ferguson) and David (Jake Gyllenhaal).

As a last ditch effort to kill the alien and prevent it from getting to earth, David and Miranda go to separate escape pods, with David luring the alien into his to go into deep space while Miranda takes her pod back to earth.

The pods are hit by debris, and end up going opposite of where they intended. Miranda goes into space alone, and the alien gets back to earth on the pod with David.
