Pirates of the Caribbean:
Dead Men Tell No Tales

Carina Smyth (Kaya Scodelario) is the daughter of Barbossa (Geoffrey Rush).

In order to break the curse on Will Turner (Orlando Bloom) and Salazar (Javier Bardem), the Trident of Poseidon must be found and split in two. (This fulfills the quote on Carina's diary.)

Carina pilots The Black Pearl after Jack Sparrow (Johnny Depp) breaks the magical bottle that Blackbeard (Ian McShane) encased it in during ON STRANGER TIDES and follows the star pattern on her diary to a mysterious island that has a surface full of jewels that mimics the entire night sky.

Carina places the ruby from the diary on a larger red ruby that mimics a red star in the sky, but is not bright. The restored ruby lights up, the island and water split and the Tomb of Poseidon is revealed on the floor of the sea.

Salazar, possessing the body of Henry Turner (Brenton Thwaites) fights Jack for the Trident. Once Henry grabs the Trident, Salazar leaves his body and stabs Jack. But, Henry recovers and splits the Trident in two, saving Jack and returning Salazar and his crew to human form.

The Black Pearl lowers its anchor as the split in the ocean closes. Salazar's crew drowns. Carina sees the star pattern from the diary tattooed on Barbossa's arm as she, Jack, Henry and Barbossa climb up the anchor and realizes that he is her father. Salazar is climbing after the group, so Barbossa let's go of the anchor chain and knocks Salazar off of it as he falls. Both Barbossa and Salazar fall into the ocean and vanish into the depths.

With the curse broken, Will Turner is reunited with Elizabeth (Keira Knightly), Henry is united with Carina and Jack sails away on The Black Pearl following where the compass points with Jack the Monkey (Pablo/Chiquita) on his shoulder.

In the post-credits scene, Will and Elizabeth are sleeping in their bedroom, the door slowly opens and the shadow of Davy Jones comes over their bed, When Davy Jones clicks his lobster claw, Will awakens, but there is no one else in the bedroom. Thinking it is only a dream, Will pulls Elizabeth close and goes back to sleep, not noticing the barnacles and sea water on the floor beside the bed....

Thanks Evil Ed!
