Evelyn

Desmond Doyle (Pierce Brosnan) is deserted by his unfaithful wife. He drinks and is unemployed and the Irish courts take away his three children. After drumming up popular support, Doyle and his legal team win the Supreme Court trial, arguing that the Children's Act of 1941 violates the Irish Constitution. In the end, Desmond also gets Bernadette (Juliana Margulies). This landmark '50s case resulted in lots of children getting reunited with their families.
