Knowing he will never be promoted to Boston Braves General Manager, Babe Ruth decides to go out with his last home run and run the bases. He meets the owner at home plate, looks at his second wife Clare who shakes her head in approval, he drops his hat in a go to hell message. As he takes a slow walk back to the locker room, a young man jumps from the seats to meet him. He is the young boy he hit two home runs for when he was a sick little boy, giving him back the very ball he gave him. Babe tells him his career is over. The man says “your the best that’s ever been”. A screen message tells Hank Aaron will break is all time home run record in twice as many played games.
