Pitch Black
(2000)

Riddick (Vin Diesel), Carolyn (Rahda Mitchell), Imam (Keith David) and Jack (Rhiana Griffith) are the only ones who make it to the ship. As they are boarding, one of the creatures impales Carolyn in front of Riddick and he's unable to save her. Riddick delays starting the engines so he can blast a group of the creatures with the jets. After this, the remaining survivors fly off the planet.
