Kevin's (James Marsden) article about Jane (Katherine Heigl) the perennial bridesmaid is published before he has a chance to tell her about it.

An angry Jane exposes her sister for the lies she has told her finance George (Edward Burns) and the wedding is called off.

Jane reevaluates her life, makes up with her sister, and reunites with Kevin.

A year later Kevin and Jane marry and every woman Jane has every been a bridesmaid for (all 27 of them), come as bridesmaids to her wedding.
